Ibens Smørrebrød is Copenhagen’s tiniest smørrebrød restaurant with just 15 seats and – if the weather permits it – another 10 outside.
Please book your seats in advance to ensure a succesful visit. We accept table reservations 6 months in advance.

Is it necessary to book a table?
Yes. Reservations are recommended, as Ibens Smørrebrød is Denmark’s smallest open-faced sandwich restaurant with few seats and we are very busy. See when there are chances of finding a seat without a reservation.
How many people can I book a table for?
It is possible to book a table at Ibens Smørrebrød for 1 to 6 guests.
When can I book a table for?
First table is at 11:00 am, last at 4:30 pm. The kitchen is open all day.

How long do I have the table?
You can choose between 30, 60 and 90 minute durations.
Please note that we can only hold your table for a maximum of 10 minutes, so please arrive in good time.
Can I choose where I want to sit?
If you would like to sit inside or outside, or if you have a favorite table, please write it in the ‘Any special requests’ field. Our hostess will then try to accommodate it.
During the winter months, we guarantee our customers a table inside.
Can I also choose take away?
Yes! But remember to let us know well in advance. Order takeaway here.
Is it possible to change or cancel?
It is possible to modify and cancel your table reservation. After completing your booking, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to self-service, where you can both change and cancel.
How do I know it has gone through?
Remember to press the ‘Confirm’ button in the last step.
Your reservation is confirmed when you see the message ‘Thank you for your reservation’. You will also receive a confirmation email.
If you do not receive a confirmation email immediately after your online booking, check your spam folder.
If there is an error in your entered email address, please write to mail@ibenssmoerrebroed.dk, the hostess will correct your order and you will then receive a confirmation to your correct email.
Can I book a table on the same day?
It is possible to book a table up to 45 minutes before the desired time, but since many people book tables, we recommend that you reserve well in advance.
What if I’m late?
It can happen to even the best of us. Please call us on +45 31 70 99 63 – the hostess will note on your reservation that you are late.
