Aalborg Taffel Akvavit is the archetype of a clear, Danish aquavit. It has a distinct flavor of caraway seeds, but if you close your eyes, you might notice a subtle hint of orange in the aftertaste.
The Danes affectionately call it ‘Red Aalborg’, but its official name was given back in 1846 when it was launched by Isidor Henius – the man who elevated Danish aquavit production to the quality standard we know today.
