The Smørrebrød is something the Danes are known for, so we decided to try it out. Iben Smørrebrød is a cosy little place with a selection of six amazing smørrebrød: egg & shrimp, salmon, herring, beef, chicken salad, and potato. Now for something that is basically an open sandwich on rye bread, and doesn’t look very big in the first place, it is super filling! We were told that two to three per person is the usual amount, so we ordered two each. Between us we tried them all (except the herring), and they were absolutely delicious. The snaps they offer is made from beer from the same brewery they get their beer from, and it is soooo smooth. It doesn’t have that sharp kick likee most snaps, which makes it really easy to drink. I definitely recommend trying it. Reservation is highly recommended to avoid any disappointment.
